Whenever her life gets challenging, Janet Sulewski takes a deep breath and tells herself, “It’s all good!” The pop-culture phrase reminds Janet of her overall good fortune and empowers her to move past any current problems.
As Executive Director at The Woodlands, Janet Sulewski assists families as they prepare to decide for themselves—or for a loved one—when it’s time to move on to the next chapter in life.
“Our team takes great pride in providing outstanding care and service to all of our residents,” explains Janet. “And, together, we provide a nurturing environment that prospective residents immediately love and look forward to calling home.”
Janet is a Toledo native who attended the University of Toledo. After earning a degree in Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts, she worked in the hotel industry for more than 20 years before transitioning into healthcare. She joined Sunset Communities in 2013.
“I have always had a love for working with the elderly,” says Janet, who once considered a career as a dietician for seniors.
When she’s not at work, Janet prefers spending time outdoors.
“I love to be near water and beaches,” professes Janet. “I enjoy fishing, swimming, boating, and waterside dining.”
Janet also likes walking in the park and sightseeing. Her hobbies include crafting, home-improvement projects, and keeping up her backyard.
For entertainment, Janet loves watching classic romantic movies, listening to Motown and 80s music, and following The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Janet is proud to be part of the Sunset staff—especially her awesome team at The Woodlands, she adds with a smile.
“Throughout Sunset Communities, we have the most dedicated and caring employees who strive to make a difference in the lives of our residents.”
Sunset’s residents make Janet happy, and they remind her that every moment is worth cherishing. And when it’s all good, there are no challenges that she can’t handle.
